Autism Lunch Club
What is the Autism Lunch Club?
Our Autism Lunch Club is the perfect way for students with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) to socialise with each other and our Advisers. The club offers you the chance to:
- Meet other students with ASC
- Have your lunch in a quieter spot on campus
- Discuss your interests and hobbies
- Ask one of our friendly Advisers any questions you may have.
When is it?
The club runs every Wednesday in term time from 12:30pm - 1:30pm.
Where is it?
The club joins in SC4/24. This is sometimes referred to as the Workshop Room. If you're unsure of where to go, see the video pinned on our Instagram page @autismlunchclubuoh or speak to a member of the iPoint team for guidance!
How do I book?
You do not have to book to come along to the club - simply turn up!
What do students say about the lunch club?
Here is what one of the students who has been coming to the lunch club for three years has said:
"For me, the lunch club was a welcoming place that I could go to on a weekly basis. It provided me with a calm environment to socialise with friends, engage with staff, participate in the activities and eat my lunch. I would definitely recommend attending if you get the chance."
Any more questions?
If you have any queries about the Autism Lunch Club, please send them to disability@hud.ac.uk. One of our Advisers will get back you as quickly as possible.
