Mobility and physical difficulties

If you have a condition such as cerebral palsy, arthritis, or multiple sclerosis, you can access support through Disability Services. Please complete the registration form and you will be linked with one of our advisers. There are a range of adjustments we can put in place, some examples include:

  • Support to catch up with your studies if you miss taught sessions.
  • The right to request extensions to coursework deadlines.
  • Assistance in accessing library books.
  • Adjustments in the teaching environment such as ergonomic seating/desk.

You may also be eligible for the Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) which may also include access to ergonomic equipment for your study area, or taxis to campus. We can help you to apply for this. Please see the DSA section on our website.

Please see the campus accessibility section of our site for building plans and accessible routes.

If you require support during an emergency evacuation, we can discuss developing a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP).
