Welcome to Disability Services

Disability Advisers work alongside you to identify how your disability or condition impacts your teaching, learning, assessment and access to physical and digital resources, and to help coordinate support and adjustments.

Disability Services work with students who have a disability or condition which impacts on their study. This includes students or applicants who have:

  • Specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia
  • Ongoing mental health difficulties
  • Long-term medical conditions such as diabetes, cancer, Crohn's disease
  • Social communication difficulties such as autism
  • ADHD
  • Physical or mobility difficulties
  • Hearing impairments or hearing loss
  • Visual impairments

Current announcements

Adjustments for exams in January 2025

If you have an exam in January 2025 and do not have any support in place to mitigate the impact of a disability or long-term condition on your exam, please make an appointment with Disability Services as soon as possible and before Monday 2 December 2024 - this is the cut off point for registering with the service and providing supporting information ahead of the January 2025 exam period.

If you need to discuss changes or updates to existing exam adjustments in a Personal Learning Support Plan, this should also be done ahead of Monday 2 December 2024.
